A Month of Fairy Tales

We have had so much fun with fairy tales this month. Here are some pictures!!

June 28- July 2

This week we will be talking all about America. We will talk about the flag and states and some special things about America. *We will be closed on Monday the 5th* Please let us know if you will be attending on Friday so we can schedule staff accordingly. Swimming lessons will still be going on for those signed up.

Also coming up in July we are going to have a week called "not a box" We are asking you all to bring in boxes so we can use them for activities. We need all kinds. Big, small, shoe, cereal, food packages. We would love a big variety so we can have LOTS of fun.

This Week

Don't forget this Friday is the Fairy Tale Ball. It will go from 9:30-12:30. We will dance and have snacks, put on our fairy tale play and have a royal banquet. Kids should come dressed as a favorite Fairy Tale Character. If you are having trouble coming up with something make sure to talk to one of the teachers we have a lot of dress up clothes that can be used if needed. Hope to see lots of kids come!!

My card reader is once again up and running and I have been taking tons of cute pictures. So we will soon be having another picture fest!

June 14-18

Our summer newsletter was put in to cubbies on Friday. Make sure to pick it up and keep it handy. We had to cancel Water Day because of the bad Weather. We will have another one so make sure to keep watch for that.
This week is Fairy Tale week #2. We are tackling all the classics this week. Jack and the Beanstalk, 3 Bears 3 Pigs, Peter Pan, Rapunzel and many more. This Friday we will have a in class Play. It is a Fractured Fairy Tale. We are excited to try it out.

We finished our Class Fairy Tale!! It turned out very cute. It is all about a Fairy trapped by a goblin and how she escapes. Ask your child about it. A lot of them know it word for word already.

Don't forget in 2 Fridays it will be our Fairy tale ball. I am posting a few pictures of past Balls so you can see that it doesn't have to be that stressful. I am really excited to see what Fairy Tale Characters we have come to our ball this year. We have had Fairy's, princesses, princes, kings knights, dragons, pirates, witches, frog princes, wizards, robin hood. Please keep in mind that this is Fairy Tale NOT superhero. We would like the kids to learn the difference. So please no superhero costumes like ironman or Bat Man and such THANK YOU!!

Today we kicked off our 3 week long Fairy Tale Unit. WE are so excited! We will learn all about fairy tales and we have even started writing one of our own.

This Friday will be a water day. Looking at the news report we may have to change that but let us hope for the best. Please send a towel and swimsuit with your child on Friday. We will be getting wet about 10 o'clock.

Teacher Diana is putting together a newsletter about all our fun summer activities- look for that in the next few days. I will also post the information here.

Our numbers have been super low this week- please let us know when you will be on vacation so we can plan. Thanks! Have a Great Week
