Spring Fever

This week is Spring Fever Week- hopefully you all took home the pink notes on your child's cubby so you already have a copy of this handy. Here are the daily dress ups...

Mon 28th- Hat Day- send your child in a hat

Tues 29th- Crazy Hair and Silly Socks- Wear one or both!

Wed 30th- Superhero/Princess Day.- dress up as a superhero or princess or wear clothing featuring princesses or superheros

Thurs. 31st- Class Color Day- Wear RED

Fri. 1st- Pajama and Teddy bear day. Wear Jammies and bring your favorite stuffed friend.

Hope we get a lot of participation!

Along with Spring Fever Week we will be doing letters U and V and continue to talk about animals.

Happy Spring!
Spring officially starts this week. We were able to go outside quite a few times last week! This is very exciting for all of us. We are going outside almost daily now and it is still a little chilly so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately and has at least a jacket to wear.

This week we will learn letters S&T. We will talk more about animals and also do some spring cleaning. This week is when the State comes to inspect our facility for licensing so if we seem more stressed out than usual....that is why. You can help us get ready by making sure you keep their cubbie cleaned out, put all blankets in blanket bags, and take their blankets home to be washed weekly. All things you already do :)

I think I posted earlier that this would be Spring Fever week but we have pushed it back to next week the 28th through 1st

This week we will do letters O & P.
We will continue to talk about animal.
Remember something that starts with O or P for sharing on Friday.

Please let us know how Kindergarten Registration went. Are there any skills that you feel your child needs extra help with? Please let us know so we can reinforce those skills.

Coming up the 21st-25th will be a school wide Spring fever week. I will post the actual day activites closer to the date. Look at Karen's parent letter for more info.

Picture Post

Thought it was about time that I added some more pictures of the fun things we do at school. The first two pictures are from Magic Treehouse Adventure day which happens every Thursday. If you have not read Diana's note posted by the door about Magic Treehouse make sure you do. This is a pictures of Jack and Annie the main charters in the books. Each Thursday 2 kids are chosen to be our Jack and Annie. Jack wears glasses and carries the backpack with notebooks. Annie carries the wand of Dyanthis or the animal friend we take on the adventure. If you have not read these books to your kids you should. Diana has a full box of books that she lends out. What a fun time we have learning about all different time periods and places all over the world. In the next picture we are climbing into the treehouse to go on an adventure.

One of our many food projects. These penguins were delicious. Every Friday we do a food project.
Here we are playing Astronauts and Mission Control. I loved hearing one little boy say over and over again "Roger that Captain"

Here is our Dragon that we wore for Chinese New Year. He is also a Character in one of our Treehouse Books. He makes rain not fire.

We also like to exercise our bodies when we can't go outside. Here they are waiting to crawl through the tunnel. I think they were pretending to be dogs, or cats, or....well it could be anything knowing them.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. I think it is fun for you to see what we are up to at school. Usually by the time you all get there all the fun is cleaned up...sorta ;)
