Today we started our alphabet! This week we are learning all about A and B. Make sure you help your child find something that starts with A or B to bring to school for Sharing Circle on Friday. Take a few minutes this week to go around your house and find things that start with our letters of the week then choose one to bring on Friday.
We are having such a good time getting to know this group of kids. They keep us busy and laughing.
For example when I was pouring grape juice for breakfast one kid said, "I love purple orange juice!"
As Teacher Diana tucked in one of our boys for nap she asked if he wanted to be covered. He lifted his foot in the air looked at it and said, "My sock says yea."
We have a ball!
Have a Great week. I will post some pictures soon.

Welcome to the Dinofours
Welcome to the Dinofours class blog!! It is official, our Preschool Curriculum starts today!
Welcome to all our new parents. We are so excited to have you and your child join our School Family. We can't wait to get to know you and work with you. This blog is designed to be a resource for you so you can find info at home even if you lost the note we gave you at school or *gasp* forgot to read the white board. Not that any of us would ever do that.......;)
I will post upcoming events and notices. I will also post pictures as much as possible.
I hope everyone has gotten a new Parent Packet from us. If we missed you then please let us know and we will get you one. I will also be putting out a newsletter soon to inform you more about some of the fun ways we try to involve you in your child's preschool life.
Here is a basic run down of our Preschool time schedule.
9:30 Circle time- a group time where we gather everyone to read, sing, tell stories and learn.
10:00 Outside time- when it gets colder we will have an indoor activity time
10:30-11:30 Center time- Teachers set out centers and children have an hour to explore and learn. Teachers get down and facilitate learning but do not lead here. This is a time that they really get to make choices and grow.
11:30 Music or singing time
12:00 Lunch
This is our schedule 5 days a week.
Monday we introduce the 2 letters of the week.
Tuesday we focus on the first letter,
Wednesday the 2nd letter.
Thursdays are usually Magic Treehouse adventure days.
We will have a Sharing Circle time on Fridays where children may share the thing they brought from home that starts with the letter of the week. We will also do centers that day. Fridays will host Food Projects as one of the centers and also a "Movie Nap" time.
This blog is for you. Feel free to follow it and leave comments. If you think of something that you would like me to post about just let me know and I will see what I can do..
We have had such a great summer. Now back to our School Readiness Curriculum.
So excited to be partners with you in your child's education and learning

Here Here we Go Again
So here we are starting a new Pre-School Year in the 4's Class.
If you have not received a new parent packet make sure to get one from one of us.
Here is a little introduction to the 4's Class Teachers.
I am Teacher Trina
I have been at All About Kids since 2003 (minus the year I took off when I had my oldest daughter.) I am mom to 2 awesome girls 7 and 5. My Husband is a Student at USU and also works part time. I have taught in the 2's 5's and 4's Classroom. I started teaching the 4's in the fall of '05 I got my A.S. from Snow College and then attended USU for a Year where I did my teaching Level 1's as an Early Childhood Education Major. I am currently working on my Child Development Associates. My spare time is spent reading, Digi Scrapping, and being Primary President at my church. I have worked in child care centers since I was 16 years old. So 14 years of fun doing what I love to do! ( I know you did the math...I turned 30 this month... ;)
This is Teacher Diana (okay I admit it the only pictures I have of her are from our annual Fairy Tale Ball I chose this one over Ursula)
She began working at AAK in 2003 as well. She has been in the 4's class since then. She is mom to 4 grown up kids- her youngest is in High School. She ran a child care center at her home for many years. She was tired of the business aspect and wanted to get back to doing what what she loved the most, Teaching. SO she came to AAK. She has a Associates Degree in Child Development and many years of experience. Her passions include dinosaurs and The Magic Treehouse book series. In her spare time you will find her reading, making really fun stuff for our classroom or her church kids where she is the music leader, and spending time with her family. If you have a question about something your kid is going through chances are she has delt with in with her own kids or with one of the hundreds of kids she has taught over the years. I won't list her years of experience.....
This is Teacher Ashley (yup had to steal a Facebook Pic)
She is our afternoon/sometimes morning when she is needed- Teacher. She has been with all about kids for about 2 years. She is currently a student at USU. She is also working on her CDA at the same time. So she is one busy girl! She is the one you will usually see when you come to pick your kids up.
We are excited to get to know you all better. Last year none of the Parents really used the blog so I stopped posting. So if you use the blog please follow it or comment every now and then so I will know if this us something useful or something taking time away from my kids. You are mostly all working parents so you know what I mean... It has been a great tool for parents in the past so I hope it will benefit you.
Lets have a great year!
